& Continuing Education Courses: Opportunities for All Ages
Enrollment is under way for a variety of workforce development and continuing education courses at Jefferson College for anyone seeking career advancement, professional development, licensure certification, job skills improvement, or age-appropriate personal interest and enrichment experiences.
The need for cost-effective employment-related education, certification and training remains strong given the continued sluggishness of the regional and national economy.
On-site courses are held at nine locations across Jefferson County with a variety of start dates/times throughout the fall. Additionally, over 3,000 online courses are accessible 24 hours a day.
Business and workforce development offerings include teacher education, business, healthcare, food service, customized training, WorkKeys employment assessment, customer service, Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS), electrical contractor, engineering professional development, green technology, industrial safety and occupational health, and water/wastewater.
Other subject areas include computers, professional development, history, agriculture, culinary arts, health, language, crafts, music, recreation, art, dance, guidance, and swim. The College also offers adult education and literacy classes to prepare for the GED.
